Self-Harm and Suicidal Behaviours in Children and Young People (Part A: Theory)
I really enjoyed the session and found it to be very useful.
As always an excellent informative session which was held supportively and sensitively by the facilitators. I am always glad I attended these sessions. I benefit not just from the knowledge but also from the reflective space and the manner the group is facilitated… I feel that a lot of people shy away from the subject of suicidal behaviours and self-harm especially with young people and it was helpful to look at these especially for those in education who need to be able to recognise signs and act on them sensitively.
I'd like to say thank you so much, that meeting human to human is so essential to safety and healing and it's always great to have that reaffirmed.
Very interesting I didn't expect Freud this pm!
Thank you so much it was a really good session.
Thank you so much ladies and for the suggestions of books to read for further understanding.
Thank you for everything.
Thank you so much. Very useful and interesting.
Thank you, hope to be on part B!
Thank you all. I've found the session really useful. I've joined the community now, so looking forward to more.
One thing to explore further from today is Antonia Murphy’s work.
I want to hold on to the idea of giving a young person time and space to express themselves. I want to explore practical things I can do in my work with this learning.
I really found the session I attended very useful - unfortunately I was not able to attend all 3 sessions. This was due to my workload and sickness. No reflection on the trainers or the organisation of the sessions. I would definitely like to attend future events.
Self-Harm and Suicidal Behaviours in Children and Young People (Part B: Reflective Practice)
I just wanted to say a big thank you for the last session. I really enjoyed it and found the process of reflective practice that you demonstrated really useful. It's really made me think about looking for a supervision qualification as I really enjoy this part of my work and think it would be useful to help develop my practice but also to support others with their development especially on some of the trainings I run. I wanted to say thanks for how well you hold these sessions and for how supportive and informative they are in so many ways. I don't think I have been to any of these sessions where I haven't come away and reflected deeper on my work and myself as part of that. A lot of training gives you information, but I like how you have embraced the knowledge we can get when we reflect on ourselves as part of the process and our relationship to the work, not only cognitively but somatically too. So, thank you and look forward to more sessions.
The session was very helpful. Thank you.
One thing that I will take away from today is that my wellbeing is as important as young people’s wellbeing.
One thing that I will take away from today is to praise the small things as it could make a big difference.
One thing that I will take away from today is the importance of these spaces – places where you feel held. A lot of time is spent facilitating these spaces but it’s important to also be held so we can reflect fully.
Feeling supported by colleagues. Thank you.
Feeling more grounded in myself, due to being reflective.
One thing that I will take away from today is to pause and appreciate my contributions.
I had no expectations about today but I liked the opportunity to think in this way. We don’t do enough reflective practice and I will be trying to do more. Thank you so much, today was great.
It was useful thinking about the powers of reflection and helpful techniques with self-harm.
Really enjoyed today. I always get so much from these sessions. Even just the space to sit with myself and reflect on my own thoughts and experiences and listen to others and learn from each other.

Thanks so much, one of the best trainings I have attended so far, very informative, reflective and useful resources.
Very useful session, thank you.
Really good. Useful resource sharing.
A good opportunity to network and access additional resources with very knowledgeable facilitators.
Friendly atmosphere and lots of resources provided during the session.
I missed the beginning of the session but still got a lot out of it… There was a lot of info about BEC that was new to me and this was really enlightening.
Self-Harm and Suicidal Behaviours in Children and Young People (Layered Learning Package)
Thank you for sharing - I will be sure to sign post schools to these layered training events. I have been signposting the website and resources in previous years with schools.
Carly & Lucy were fantastic. We started with the online session - which was extremely well received, it offered lots of theory and statistics, provided times to pause for thought, and encouraged rich and valuable discussions within our team. The session started with a reminder of self-care, and I reiterated this throughout with my team. Topics dealt with were discussed with sensitivity, and care. We then had a TEAMS call where we were taken through session 2, and introduced to session 3. There was a huge emphasis on reflection and this provided everyone the opportunity to reflect personally on their own experiences of the subject. It was a fantastic session and I can't thank Lucy and Carly enough… I've previously received lots of training on suicide awareness and am a qualified mental health first aider, though I feel this session added a lot of depth to what I've learnt previously and the reflection element was something I haven't encountered in a training on this topic before. Furthermore, I feel that the depth of knowledge and understanding around self-harm, stigma & myths was also something I'd only touched on before, but this training allowed time to really challenge some of those. I found this incredibly valuable. Thank you.
Session was very informative and very helpful in developing my awareness of resources and trainings that are available to support schools.
Both Carly and Lucy were great in their delivery of this difficult topic. Pace was good, opportunities for discussion and reflection were plentiful and enabled wider thinking amongst the team… We very much appreciated the session from Carly and Lucy. For such a difficult topic I was unsure how this would be done online but the content was good and there were enough opportunities for discussion. The work around reflection was particularly helpful and very transferrable. Thank you!
I found the session very informative. Thank you.
Mind, Body and Mental Health (Part A: Theory)
I’m looking forward to the next session already!
Thanks to all the speakers for today. Really enjoyed everyone’s input and very thoughtful. Look forward to next week session.
Thank you, this has been a fab session and I'm looking forward to next week.
I feel calm, inspired, fascinated want to know/ hear more. Thank you.
I'm in awe of the wealth of knowledge in the room. Looking forward to learning lots!
An informative session and a good structure to lead people through theory and education. Break out rooms gave a change in pace that was helpful. Great to then apply it to our own practice or self.
Interesting and thought-provoking.
Thanks for another great session. The session was informative, thought provoking and well timed.
Informative, thought provoking, and feel like I have found my tribe - Thanks All.
Thoroughly enjoyable. I'll be back next week.
It humbles me to meet such amazing humans who are working to do the best they can for our children and who truly care. Everything about today has been thought-provoking and informative.
Thought provoking, humbling, informative, considered, and I love how it’s presented with lots of inclusion. Brilliant!
Very insightful and inspiring, quite sad to think we have a long way to go in helping to bring about change in society but it’s great to meet others who are like-minded!
Brilliant. Incredibly useful and it’s good to connect with others.
Mind, Body and Mental Health (Part B: Reflective Practice)
I had not thought about the importance of this practice but am gaining skills to implement it.
Helpful, enjoyed the session but felt it could be longer; some longer quiet thinking moments (hard when there’s a session time). Still thinking about lots to reflect on! My breakout room was full of amazing women!!
Thank you. It was a really helpful session.
Interesting and helpful session.
Grounding [session]. Went quickly. Great to have space to think.
Motivating, helpful, thought provoking, inspiring.
Useful tools to be able to take back.
Mind, Body and Mental Health (Layered Learning Package)
A really interesting and informative journey through an alternative lens of mental health. I think it's important that we all begin to understand that the mind and body are one to better address our health - pertinent seminars, thank you.
The sessions were really informative and delivered exceptionally well. I thoroughly enjoyed the break out groups and the opportunities to discuss thoughts and ideas with other attendees. One of the best trainings I've been on this year. Considering the importance of the topic, it was brilliant... I attended all parts of this training. All three parts were really well created and delivered. It was really helpful connecting with other colleagues in similar fields and being able to discuss issues with them. I'm really looking forward to the rerun of part C in September. Thank you for all your hard work in putting this together.
Very blessed to attend your sessions that give me a lot of reflection, mental health awareness/resources, and human connections - Keep going, this world needs you, your work, your light… I've been amazed about what you deliver about information… Keep up the good work! Your actions are vital for mental health.
The course had a good combination of group discussion, break out rooms and delivered content from facilitators.
